Moravka lager is made in a small brewery in the former malting house of Joshua Lingard's brewery. Lingard started brewing for the farm workers at Blackwell Hall in the 1850's before moving to Sheffield to make his fortune as a butcher.
All Moravka lager is unpasteurised, contains only natural ingredients and is based on a traditional Czech recipe using a bottom fermenting yeast and hops from Zatec in Northern Bohemia.
Although the
brewery is only
small, it has a
lagering cellar
with a capacity of
16,000 litres to allow the beer to mature at cold temperature for sufficient time to give it a clean full flavour.
